  • Condition: The wood case is intact and looks good for it's age. This is so rare that I don't know the age. This company had made clocks years ago in the 30's.v This radio may be an offshoot from the clock of that day. I have not plugged it in as I am afraid of damaging something.

    Description

    This radio was my Dad's who was an EE, from Washing State. Most of the Ham stuff was taken off the grounds. This radio somehow remained in my possession and now I want to give it to a collector.  The cabinet looks good and is (1/4 '' or 3/8" ply ) and  maintained. There is 1 tube inside with a variable condenser, a transformer, a ground outlet and an antenna outlet. This is all I know about this radio, but I suspect  the late 20's. I will not power it on for fear of something shorting. I don't see any resemblance to anything in the library. The tube is a #56 and the socket says #56 on it. I think that this may have come from the Virginia-Lincoln clock at some time. The front has a Kc dial and a ground and antenna attachment. This is all that I know about this radio.  (If I had the time and effort, I may take an old boom box radio and add it into the workings of this radio as the antique looks are a great addition to any shop. This has not been plugged in since at least  1950's.
