    1953 Red Seal and Serial Numbers United States Note. PMG AU55. Butterfly folding error. The viewer's right lower corner shows a large butterfly fold. The align marks on the paper are visible. The fold created the large unprinted section, still attached, as the note went through the BEP. From the reverse the alignment marks for that side are also visible. Nice looking, major error on an earlier U.S. Note type.
