Description
This pair of antique doors once graced the facade of a Rajasthan manse in Pakistan/India. Built sometime in the late 19th century. Today they can be repurposed as doors for a kitchen pantry, library cabinet, family room TV/toy storage, garden/pool house facade, and more!Includes two doors with original iron antique hardware. Encased within a full door frame. Consisting of a hand-carved lintel, jambs, and sill. Over the centuries all were painted multiple hues. The result being a rich multi-layered patina in a predominantly nile green hue with turquoise, blue, puce, and wood tones revealed. The reverse side features a rich wood finish that shows some signs of painting over time. Constructed of solid hand crafted and milled wood. Measures with frame four and a half feet wide (54") x 5" deep and stands at slightly over seven feet high (86.5"). The doors themselves measure 37" wide (18.5" each) x 1.5" deep x 70.5" high.
Condition is antique and commensurate with advanced age.. That said these architectural elements are structurally sound with no issues of note. Beyond the normal wear/tear/distress that naturally occurs with over a century of use. Existing paint finish is very stable with no flaking/loss behind what already exists. See photos for details.
