This 3" Premium English Bridle strops are made of 8-9 ounce Thoroughbred English Bridle leather These strops feature Horween football leather tops and handles in a beautiful contrasting saddle tan.
We recently purchased several sides of English Bridle leather from Thoroughbred Leather while looking for the ultimate leather to use in our strop construction. While these strops don't quite compare to our Wickett & Craig strops, they ran a close second! Thoroughbred is an American company that is a subsidiary of the Tasman Leather Group. They are (like Wickett & Craig and Horween) considered to make top-quality leathers.
These strops are made for the experienced. They are NOT recommended for beginners. They are high-end strops that are handmade out of high-end materials.
We make EVERY strop ourselves!
Most strops on the market today are either coming out of Pakistan or China. Not our strops. Our strops are made by us. PERSONALLY! Although we do employ the use of "clicker dies" to insure uniform cuts for the tops and handles, the strop itself is individually cut and assembled by hand, by us, here in Louisiana.
