30"x69"
title is an estimate  and not all doors are exactly
30"x69"
.  Please see exact dimensions below.
Elegant,
antique, interior  doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA.
The doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine. Both doors are painted white on  both sides. The doors have a traditional,  Colonial style six panel design.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have  the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that   old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine
.
Hardware
:
Neither  of the doors are equipped with hardware
.  However, w
e  have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our  physical store.
* If you would like small recesses for the pulls plugged with solid wood, email  us for a quote.
Uneven Size
:
The width of Door#1 was unevenly cut by 5/8" and  the width of Door#2 by 3/8". The height of Door#2 was unevenly cut by 5/8".
The cuts were
most likely  made to compensate for the home's settling foundation or a warped  floor. We   could cut any door to an even height/width, cut it/them narrower  and/or  shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger

Condition
:
Some of the wood on Door#1 has termite damage
.  Luckily, due to the way that the door was constructed, we are able to simply  "pull off" the bad strips of wood, and the wood that remains is good and usable.      If you would plan on painting the door, the repairs would be much less technical  and inexpensive. Let us know what you would like to do and we'll give you a  quote for the work.
On Door#1 there are 5 gaps (3/16" - 1/8"). These are not  serious issues and the  door could still be installed  and used for decades without the gaps widening.  However, we could close the gaps  using clamps and modern glue and some dowels  (wooden joints)--message us for a quote.
Otherwise Both doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They  only have nicks,  scrapes, and  scratches, but no breaks, deep cracks,  rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage on Door#2 is a scrape  in the hinge stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that the doors have
will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".
Strip/Refinish
:
We could strip/refinish,          or partially or completely strip the door(s) to prepare it for you to repaint or   refinish.
We have  MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an idea of how  these doors could clean up
.
Email us with  a small description of what you would like
done
, and we'll give  you a quote.
Swing
:
Both doors are set up to swing into a room towards the left or away from a room  towards the right.
We could change the swing of either door--
email us  for a quote.
Modification
:
Do you want to make a pair using both of these doors? Do you want to replace the  panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to  fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the  height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with  a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
